Obsidi Community FAQ

  • How to become an Obsidi Communities partner?
    • Before you create an Obsidi Communities profile, you’ll need to have already created your own profile on Obsidi.com. If you are not an Obsidi member, you can create a member profile using the following steps:
      • Go to Obsidi.com
      • Hit the “Become a Member” button
      • Fill in your email address
      • Type in your password, and then you’ll be email and the confirmation code
      • Go to your inbox and copy the confirmation code
      • Then hit the “Become a Member” button
      • That’s it, you’re now a member!
    • Login to Obsidi.com with your member profile
    • Click become a community partner
    • Then, add company details and submit
    • Complete your profile, then explore Obsidi Communities
  • How to search with my Obsidi Communities profile?
    Same process as members, simply type in the search bar or use the filter to search for people within Obsidi.com.
  • How to send a direct message with my Obsidi Communities profile?
    Same as members, you can only send direct messages to members you (an admin of the Obsidi Communities profile) are connected with.
  • How to create a post with my Obsidi Communities profile?
    • Click create a post
    • Select your company profile
    • Compose message and post
  • How to comment with my Obsidi Communities profile?
    • Type your message in the comment box
    • Click send
    • Select your company
  • How to repost with my Obsidi Communities profile?
    • Click the repost icon 
    • Select company profile
    • Add any additional copy
    • Click post
  • How to add admins?
    • Access your company’s page
    • Scroll to manage users
    • Click view user group (if the user group you want to add an admin to is already there, then continue to step e.)
    • Click create user group and add the name of the user group, add permissions, then click add.
    • Next, click on the three dots under action for a specific user group, then select add admins, type the admins email and click add.
    • The admin will receive an email notifying them about being admins

    Note: Only an admin with permissions to add other admins can see this functionality.

    The permissions available with Obsidi Communities are:
    • Create post permissions
    • Page update permissions
    • User management permissions
  • How can I view all admins on my company page?
    • Access company page
    • Click view admins (note: you are only able to see admin names, email and the number of user groups an admin is added to)

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How can I view admins in a specific user group?
    • To view admins in a specific user group, access the user group page
    • Click on the three dots under action
    • Select view admins (Note: you will only be able to see the admin name, email, date assigned, who assigned the admins, and the delete option)

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How can I delete an Admin from a user group?
    • Access the user group page
    • Click the three dots under action
    • Click view admins
    • Select the trash can icon for the specific admin you wish to delete

    Note: only a super admin can delete another super admin. If there is only one super admin that needs to be deleted, that super admin must assign another super admin. If there is no other super admin added, the super admin would need to close the account.
  • How to view permissions for a specific user group?
    Access the user group page, click the three dots under action, then click view permissions. 

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How to edit permissions for a specific user group?
    • Access the user group page, click the three dots under action, then click edit user group.
    • You can edit the permissions and user group name, then, click update.

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How to disable a user group?
    Access the user group page, click the three dots under action, then click disable user group, and confirm.

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How to delete a user group?
    Access the user group page, click the three dots under action, then click delete user group, and confirm.

    Note: Only a super admin can access this functionality.
  • How to share my company profile to gain followers?
    On the content feed/tea spot, scroll to “invite peeps” or from the drop down menu, click “invite peeps”, and copy the link for followers, simply share with your network.
  • How to view my company’s followers?
    On your company page, click followers, you will see all your followers.
