  • BFUTR 2024 will take place on November 6 and 7, 2024. Mark your calendar for these two full days of professional development, networking, and industry insights.

    BFUTR 2024 venue:

    The venue will host all summit activities, including the BFUTR Marketplace, Main Stage, Partner Lounges, Executive Experiences, After Party Concert (with headliner Ja Rule), and Immersive Partner Areas.

  • Ticket prices vary depending on the type of pass you choose. For detailed pricing information, please visit the registration page on the website.
  • The safety and health of our attendees are a priority. We will follow all local health guidelines, including mask mandates, sanitization stations, and social distancing protocols. Specific measures will be updated closer to the event.

  • Yes, BFUTR 2024 offers in-person and virtual attendance options to accommodate all participants.

  • Absolutely! There will be numerous networking sessions, both in-person and virtual, to connect with other professionals and industry leaders.
  • Yes, the event includes the BFUTR Marketplace with representatives from leading tech companies and North American employers of choice looking to hire talent.
  • Visit the partner section on the BFUTR website for details on becoming a sponsor or exhibitor. 
  • Business casual is recommended for the event. Feel free to bring your unique style and professionalism.
  • Meals, beverages, and other snacks can be purchased on-site at the venue. 

  • At this time, we are not recruiting volunteers for this event. However, you can be a BFUTR Support by:

    We can also add you to our exclusive referral program. Here are the steps:

    Step 1: Register for a BFUTR 2024 ‘Summit Only’ Pass

    Step 2: Let us know the email address you used to register by emailing marketing@bptn.com with the subject line: BFUTR Referral Program, and we’ll send you a unique referral URL link.

    Step 3: Share your unique referral URL link with friends, family, and colleagues. If at least five (5) successful ‘Summit/Executive + After Party Passes’ are referred by October 18, 2024, we will upgrade your ‘Summit Only Pass’ to a ‘Summit + After Party Pass’ free of charge.

  • We have partnered with several hotels near the venue, offering special rates for BFUTR attendees. Check BFUTR website for details or visit the BFUTR Hotel Specials link HERE
  • Yes. You can transfer your pass by accessing your BFUTR Pass Wallet. Your BFUTR Pass Wallet login details can be found on your BFUTR confirmation email. From there you can see all your BFUTR passes and transfer any passes to another person’s email address.
  • BFUTR 2024 is open to professionals of all ages. However, some sessions may target specific age groups or career stages. For example, the BFUTR After Party Concert and BFUTR Turn Up! evening events are 19+ events. The Obsidi® community comprises Black tech professionals and allies who identify as mid-career, senior, or executive C-suite workers.

This pass also includes the BFUTR Turn Up! Mixer and access to the BFUTR Co-working Hub. Note that this pass does not include access to the After Party Concert or complimentary food.

The BFUTR Turn-Up Mixer creates an environment where lasting connections can be formed and new opportunities can be discovered.
  • The Immersive Experience Areas at BFUTR 2024 include the Game Time Area, Presented by theScore, and the Wellness Area, Presented by Canada Life. The Game Time Area offers gaming, contests, interviews, recruiting opportunities, and more. Meanwhile, the Wellness Area provides professional headshot photography, resume reviews, interview preparation, meditation sessions, and other supportive resources. These areas enhance the summit experience by offering interactive and beneficial activities beyond traditional conference sessions.
  • The BFUTR Co-Working Hub allows attendees to recharge, catch up on work, and connect with colleagues and new contacts.   • The BFUTR Turn Up is a networking event designed to help attendees form lasting connections and discover new opportunities. It will take place at 5 PM ET on November 6 and 7, 2024. These events allows you to engage with Obsidi® members and partners across North America, providing a relaxed atmosphere for socializing and professional networking.
  • BFUTR 2024 features 6 Curated Partner Lounges, each offering over 70 industry sessions across the two-day summit. These lounges host Obsidi® Tech Talks, demos, workshops, and exclusive networking experiences led by senior leaders and tech influencers. Arrive early to secure your spot, as these sessions fill up quickly.
  • To attend the BFUTR After Party Concert, you must select either the 'Summit + After Party Pass' or the 'Executive + After Party Pass' during registration. These passes include access to both the summit activities and the After Party Concert. Important: Government ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages at the BFUTR After Party Concert.
  • No, food is not included in the ticket price for BFUTR 2024. However, a variety of delicious food options will be available for purchase on-site, ensuring attendees have access to satisfying meals throughout the event.

  • The After Party Concert will occur on the evening of November 7, 2024, following the daytime summit activities. The venue details will be announced closer to the event date.
  • No, attendance at the After Party Concert is not included with the 'Summit Only Pass.' To attend the After Party Concert, you must select either the 'Summit + After Party Pass' or the 'Executive + After Party Pass' during registration. 
  • The BFUTR After Party Concert will feature a live DJ performance and entertainment from hip-hop legend Ja Rule, creating an energetic and unforgettable experience for attendees to socialize and celebrate the summit's success.
  • If you choose the 'Summit + After Party Pass' or the 'Executive + After Party Pass,' attendance at the After Party Performance is included in the pass price. However, food and beverages at the event may incur additional costs.
  • No, tickets for the After-Party Performance are only available as part of the 'Summit + After Party Pass' or the 'Executive + After Party Pass'. These passes include access to both the full two-day summit and the evening After-Party Concert.
  • Yes, food and beverages will be available for purchase at the After-Party Concert venue, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes and preferences.
  • Yes, attendees must be of legal drinking age to attend the After Party Concert, which will include alcoholic beverages for those who choose to consume them. Proper identification may be required at the venue entrance.
  • To ensure access to the After-Party Concert, register for BFUTR 2024 with either the 'Summit + After Party Pass' or the 'Executive + After Party Pass' as early as possible. These pass types include admission to summit activities and the After-Party Performance. They are only available while supplies last and sell out fast every year. 
  • No shuttles are provided, as many transportation options are available when attending any part of the BFUTR 2024 Global Tech Summit events. We encourage attendees to take the mode of transportation that works best for them.  If you drive, there is ample parking available at the International Centre. The GO Train Station is minutes from the International Centre if you take public transportation. Attendees also use taxi services and ride apps when traveling to and from BFUTR events. Regardless of your chosen mode of transportation, please travel responsibly. For the most current information, check the BFUTR website.
  • Yes, Ja Rule will be performing at the BFUTR 2024 After Party Concert, bringing his energetic style and hits to the event for attendees to enjoy.

  • The Summit Only Pass includes access to all summit activities, such as the BFUTR Marketplace, Main Stage presentations, Partner Lounges, and Immersive Experience Areas. However, it does not include access to the BFUTR After Party Concert featuring Ja Rule and the Executive Pass experiences.
  • Thank you for your interest in the BFUTR 2024 summit! Unfortunately, we do not provide invitation letters for visa applications or travel purposes. We recommend checking with your local Canadian consulate or embassy for guidance on visa requirements and application processes, as we do not offer any support or guidance in this regard.
  • No refunds will be issued to purchasers regardless of any circumstances. All BFUTR passes are non-refundable without exception. We strongly advise attendees to thoroughly assess their schedules and commitments before purchasing their passes to ensure they are able to make the most of their BFUTR experience. However, in the event you are unable to attend you have the option to transfer your pass to another individual.
  • OBSIDI® follows a standard process and will not bypass the pass distribution process set by our partners. We encourage you to seek assistance from your internal manager or HR team for more information and support. As an alternative, you may also secure your pass individually to guarantee entry to the event.
  • Yes, by attending BFUTR 2024, you consent to the use of your image in photography and videography captured during the event. These images may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. This is outlined in our registration process and reinforced by on-site signage at the event.
  • We strive to respect the privacy of all our attendees. While we make every effort to inform attendees of photography and videography taking place, if you do not wish to have your image used in our marketing materials, please contact us at privacy@obsidi.com with your request. As a courtesy, we will take reasonable steps to remove your image from future advertisements.
  • You can review the full terms of our media consent policy in our Terms and Conditions. This outlines the conditions of image use, including your consent upon registration and participation in the event.
  • Once we receive your request, we aim to remove your image from any current or future marketing materials as soon as possible and will take reasonable steps to remove it from future advertisements.
  • Yes, all attendees are considered to have given their consent during registration and participation in BFUTR 2024. However, if you would like to request that your image be removed from any marketing materials, we are happy to accommodate and take reasonable steps to remove it from future advertisements.
