FAQ
The BFUTR Global Tech Summit will be hosted both online and live in-person. The virtual event will be streamed via Obsidi.com, and the in-person event, held on Day 3, will be delivered in the grand ballroom of the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
Attendees can obtain a BFUTR summit pass by logging into Obsidi.com, selecting the event option and booking a free [ virtual event only] or purchase a VIP [ in-person event ] pass through the user portal. The pass confirmation information will be sent to your confirmation email received shortly after purchasing your ticket or securing your free pass. If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please contact us at info@bptn.com.
BPTN has 100 additional rooms, which are now blocked at $249.00 plus applicable taxes. Book your group rate designated for Black Professionals in Tech Network by using the following link: https://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1662053456148&key=GRP
- Go to the Summit page navigation bar, then click redeem pass button.
- Fill in the ticket code and click verify.
- Fill in the claim code and submit.
Note: Only BFUTR VIP passes can be shared while all general passes are free and need to be individually accessed by each participant.
- Access the manage pass section on their Obsidi profile page.
- Click the three dots beside the pass and click share button.
- Add the recipient’s email and click send.

[1] Please note that BFUTR general pass holders cannot access Day 3 of the conference live or in-person and will not have access to the after-party. BFUTR participants with VIP passes will be able to attend Day 3 of the conference along with the after-party. If you need further directions, please consult the summit agenda.
[2] A the start of the conference, general pass holders, seeking to view the content virtually only need to log into the online conference environment by clicking join to begin enjoying the streaming content. Alternatively, VIP pass holders will check in-person at the conference venue registration desk.

Unfortunately, you cannot re-enter the event without a BFUTR VIP pass on hand. We’ll need you to locate your pass and present it to our staff before you can re-join other attendees.
The BFUTR VIP pass is a crucial piece included in our registration process, as it allows us to respect the venue’s capacity limits. This is important regulation because it helps us prioritize the health and safety of our attendees if an emergency arises.
Unfortunately, you cannot attend the in-person summit programming on Day 3 without a BFUTR VIP pass. We are no longer selling any BFUTR VIP passes as they are sold out. However, we encourage you to sign up for an Obsidi.com account to secure a BFUTR general pass so that you can enjoy all the virtual summit benefits.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide any refunds. We relayed the information on our FAQs and via various communication channels such as Obsidi to ensure BFUTR attendees were properly informed.
For example, once a ticket has been purchased, the information is immediately relayed to our planning team so we can prepare the venue and cover the necessary event costs. We cannot retroactively amend this process to accommodate your request and still deliver a quality experience to all expected attendees.
